From February 27th to March 1st, cadets from Connecticut Wing, as well as all other wings, visited Washington D.C. in order to lobby for the budget of Civil Air Patrol. The cadets were also able to see Arlington National Cemetery and the changing of the Guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. C/Capt Liam Waldron was among those cadets and on Thursday, the cadets from Connecticut met with the offices of our two state senators, and all 5 members of the House of Representatives from Connecticut. After the meetings were finished, cadets were able to tour the Capitol Building and on Friday visited the National Air and Space Museum before leaving for home. The cadets were also chosen to be photographed by CAP national for the possible cover of the next issue of Volunteer.
